The National Institutes of Health Electronic Commodities Store III contract was awarded in November 2002 to NetStar-1, bringing us a GWAC-type contract vehicle that has been recognized for its breadth of product choice, flexibility and ease of use. Divided into six product families, or Lots, the contract has been a prime source of products that range from Desktop computers/peripherals, to software, networking products, telecommunications solutions, scientific workstations, warranty maintenance and professional services. NetStar-1's contract number is 263-03-D-0535.

The NIH NITAAC program office, which manages the ECS III contract, has made a great effort to attract strong security solutions for today's post 9/11 environment. As reported in Federal Computer Week, the NIH contracting office began to address security requirements through previously awarded NIH GWAC contracts. Unlike previous NIH contracts, ECS III includes a services component, which allows for more complex solutions to be acquired and deployed while using the contract vehicle.

In addition to security solutions, NetStar-1's ECS contract has exclusive product sales relationships with compelling technology vendors like Egenera, Watchfire, InfoGlyph and others.

Using a comprehensive e-commerce site, NetStar-1's product offering includes the complete, off-the-shelf solutions from Cisco, Sun Microsystems, SGI, EMC, Network Appliance, HP/Compaq, BEA and many other technology leaders. NetStar-1 extensive experience in technologies like Voice Over IP, Optical, Wireless, Server Consolidation and Network Migration, has made us an easy choice for government users and IT managers.
